Thatchos was a Cyberman, or more accurately woman, encountered by one version of the Seventh Doctor. Among the Cybermen, she was distinguished by her hair, a silver necktie with black spots and a handbag which she carried. She was accompanied by a subordinate Cyberman, Denos. Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

Thatchos is a parody of the 1980s Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Margaret Thatcher, being a portmanteau of her name and Davros' (the Lenny Henry Show sketch appearing to hold that Davros, or, as it turns out, Thatchos, was associated with the Cybermen rather than the Daleks). Thatchos' subordinate, Denos, is a parody of Thatcher's husband Denis Thatcher.

Despite being identified as "the Cybermen's leader", Thatchos appears to be neither a Cyber-Leader or Cyber-Controller. Though partially obscured by her hair, Thatchos is shown to have a generic Cyber-head with silver side handles as opposed to black. However, her hair, a distinguishing feature from her subordinate, can be taken as the equivalent of the Cyber-Controller's enlarged cranium design.
