"The Clocksmith" was the main alias used by a renegade Time Lord artist and a member of the Doom Coalition.

Using a device which could hold his subjects in stasis, the Clocksmith made such works of art such as the Golden Draconians of Malbara IV, for which the Draconian emperors praised him. (AUDIO: The Eighth Piece) He joined the Doom Coalition and designed the Crucible of Souls. (AUDIO: The Crucible of Souls) Using his Type 70 TARDIS, he visited the homeworld of the Solvers to gain their trust and learn how to control them, after which he disassembled Lady Risolva.
