The career paths of Terry Nation and Moore intersected on occasion. Nation wrote a handful of scripts for The Saint and The Persuaders!, two of Moore's best-remembered television outings. Moore was also interviewed on the radio documentary The Terry Nation Story.
In 2013, Moore told Mark Gatiss via Twitter that he would like to have a guest-starring appearance on Doctor Who or Sherlock. Gatiss responded enthusiastically,[1] but an appearance never happened before Moore's passing in 2017.
