People of St Lukes was a student-run weekly podcast in which members of St Luke's University presented a day-in-the-life view into their experiences at the university. Its aim was to shed light on the unseen inner lives of others on campus, and to draw attention to difference and diversity as they affected university life. Each presenter was provided with a set of guidelines.

Petra, the podcast's producer, asked the Twelfth Doctor to present an episode when he visited the A/V club. Though at first he declined, after a shared adventure involving other dimensions which led to Petra's death, the Doctor recorded an episode, as she'd asked. He entitled his episode "The Monster at the End of This Podcast", and in it, he recounted their adventure, to pay tribute to Petra's sacrifice. However, due its extra-dimensional nature, the Doctor decided not to publicly release it. Instead, he kept it on a cassette tape in the TARDIS. (AUDIO: Dead Media)
