On her second day, she met Helena McNamara at SpaceSoc and befriended her, later watching Aliens three times together in its opening week. Rix was due to meet Bambera one morning when she became aware of the death of Amy Flynn and chose to investigate the CSRF, calling in Bambera and Jean-Paul Savarin. She later incapacitated Dr Winston Grange and reversed his re-sequencing code. (AUDIO: Time Flies)
Rix initially believed that Helena was indeed alive and body-jumping, being further convinced when Irena Kravitz called her "Lou", and had the Britannia searched to ensure that there were no aliens aboard. She teamed up with Private Jake McManis, whom Savarin later made her ask out, and eventually came to believe that "Helena" had actually been an alien.
