The Redfern Inn was, along with the Fox Inn, one of Stockbridge's local pubs. (COMIC: Stars Fell on Stockbridge) The Fifth Doctor and Nyssa visited it to enquire about the date when they mysteriously awoke to a town that thought they had always been there. (AUDIO: The Eternal Summer) At the time the Eighth Doctor met Izzy Sinclair, her adoptive parents, Les and Sandra Sinclair were its publicans.
