Marston Moor, only a few miles west of York and east of Crook Marsham.
In 1644, Marston Moor was the site of a major battle in the English Civil War between the forces of Oliver Cromwell and the army of Rupert. (PROSE: Nightshade, The Roundheads) During this battle, Arthur Kemp was killed by a Roundhead musket ball. (PROSE: The Roundheads)
