- Upon arriving, the Third Doctor experiences a brief energy drain, which he identifies as being caused by a weakened future self drawing on the energy of his past self to restore himself after a recent regeneration. After the Sycorax have been driven off, the Third Doctor briefly sees the Tenth on a video camera after his future self is returned from the Sycorax ship, with Jo Grant referring to the Tenth Doctor as 'dishy' before she learns who he is.
- The Master planned to ally himself with the Sycorax, before the Christmas decorations in Jackie's flat tied him up.
