Pull to Open was the second story printed in the second year of Doctor Who: The Eleventh Doctor.

- The Squire has flashbacks of the various horrors during the Time War, including a Dalek outside of its casing and a Time Lord's skull. She claims to have fought with the Doctor when he led a Shrikefleet against a Plasma-Wheel armada on Vexa, held the line against six Barrage-Leks and routed the exotic plunder at the chronofracture on Borun, and threw down the Heisenberg mutations on Kether Prime.
- The Doctor wears a fez during his interrogation.
