Barry Island was a location Amy Pond visited as a child. It had 2p machines, rock candy, and donkey rides. Amy told River Song it also had a beach, but no sunshine. (COMIC: Summer Wholiday)

Barry Island is a Welsh island in Barry. It was used as a filming location for the Doctor Who serials Delta and the Bannermen, The Empty Child and The Doctor Dances.
