Explain. Explain!

This article contains far too many bulleted lists. These sections should be converted into normal prose.

Talk about it here.

University of Cambridge

The University of Cambridge was located in the English city of the same name. Liz Shaw was a graduate from this university. (TV: Spearhead from Space)

History

The Time Lord criminal Salyavin, one of the Doctor's boyhood heroes, was a fellow of St Cedd's College from c. late 17th century, holding the chair of Regius Professor of Chronology under the name Professor Urban Chronotis. (WC: Shada; TV: Shada) His apartments, Room 314 in St Cedd's, were really his TARDIS. (TV: Shada)

Samuel Taylor Coleridge attended Jesus College from 1791 until 1794. In 1792, he won the Browne Gold Medal for an ode that he wrote on the slave trade.[source needed]

The Master of Sedgwick in the 1930s was Sir Isaiah Hardy, who went missing and was found by the First Doctor, Vicki Pallister and Steven Taylor. (AUDIO: Entanglement)

The Doctor took an honorary doctoral degree at St Cedd's College in 1960 and was known to college porter Wilkin. Accounts differ as to whether it was in his fourth or eighth incarnation. (TV: Shada, WC: Shada)

Liz Shaw studied at Cambridge and later did research there before being invited to join UNIT in the 1970s. (TV: Spearhead from Space) She later returned to Cambridge before leaving in the 1990s to join P.R.o.B.e., believing that her research at the university had led to her being headhunted. (HOMEVID: The Zero Imperative)

Chemistry student Chris Parsons studied at St Cedd's College in the later 1970s. (TV: Shada, WC: Shada)

The Fourth Doctor and Romana II were punting on the canal in October 1979, (TV: Shada) whereupon they were abducted by use of the Time Scoop. (TV: The Five Doctors)

In the late 1980s and the early 1990s, Brendan Richards studied at Cambridge. (PROSE: Housewarming)

Dr John Winters took a degree at St Cedd's. (GAME: Torchwood Mission Game)

The Eighth Doctor and Romana II visited St Cedd's College to visit (once again) Professor Chronotis. (WC: Shada)

Harold Saxon's file stated that he had gone to Cambridge. It was fake. (TV: The Sound of Drums)

At some point after their adventures with the First Doctor, Ian Chesterton and Barbara Wright became professors at Cambridge. They were still professors in 2010, and rumoured not to have aged since the 1960s. (TV: Death of the Doctor)

During the late 2010s, Adelaide Brooke went to Cambridge where she took her first honours in Physics and Mathematics. She went on to be the first woman to land on Mars. (TV: The Waters of Mars)

Julia Dornay was an expert in cybernetics at University of Cambridge. (AUDIO: Situation Vacant)

Though it's possible that a real world location doesn't exist in the same geographic space in the Doctor Who universe, such cases are few and far between. Thus, the map to the right is probably a good indicator of the DWU location of University of Cambridge.
