'''Jerasta''' was [[High Chancellor]] to [[President (The Eleven)|a President]] of the [[High Council]]. She was told by the [[Keeper of the Matrix (Songs of Love)|Keeper of the Matrix]] that [[the Matrix]]'s projections might have been tampered with and was horrified by [[Padrac]]'s proposals to the [[Inner Council]].


She reported to [[Padrac]] that the President had gone missing after a diplomatic mission to the [[Monan Host]]. She presided over a council session which told of [[Gallifrey]]'s doom. She wasn't easily persuaded by Padrac's observations.
Whilst [[Volstrom|Councillor Volstrom]] seemed to support Padrac, being a [[spy]] for [[Ollistra|Cardinal Ollistra]], Jerasta was greatly displeased when Padrac interfered in the vote on his proposal and found that the [[Presidential TARDIS]] had been trapped in the [[transduction barrier]]s for a number of days. Using a [[Time Ring]], she boarded the TARDIS and spoke to Padrac when he contacted it, after which it was destroyed by [[Caleera|the Sonomancer]]. Jerasta was High Chancellor to a President of the High Council. She was told by the Keeper of the Matrix that the Matrix's projections might have been tampered with and was horrified by Padrac's proposals to the Inner Council.

Whilst Councillor Volstrom seemed to support Padrac, being a spy for Cardinal Ollistra, Jerasta was greatly displeased when Padrac interfered in the vote on his proposal and found that the Presidential TARDIS had been trapped in the transduction barriers for a number of days.
