S.A.3. was a submarine aircraft carrier which weighed 220,000 tons and had a crew of seventeen thousand. (PROSE: Stingray Attacked!)

In January 2065, its captain sent out urgent calls for help upon encountering monster jellyfish (COMIC: Genesis of Evil) in the Pacific. (PROSE: Stingray Attacked!) As Marineville had lost contact with Stingray, they held out no hope for a rescue bid by that vessel. (COMIC: Genesis of Evil) When they re-established communications with Marineville, Stingray reported that they had reached S.A.3. but subsequently lost contact with the craft after being attacked by a Titan Terror Fish.

Commander Shore told reporters that the S.A.3. was the third carrier to have vanished in a month, and information about its disappearance was printed on the front page of TV Century 21 on 30 January. (PROSE: Stingray Attacked!)
