Spider Daleks were a type of Skaro Degradation that featured a spider-like design. Their design gave them the ability to walk over ground, and they were equipped with more firepower than a conventional Dalek. They were used during the Last Great Time War and were seen during the occupation of Moldox. (PROSE: Engines of War)

The Neverwhen, which shifted a species back and forth along evolutionary potentials, once evolved a group of regular Daleks into "the spider-forms of the Fifth Skaro Devastation". (AUDIO: The Neverwhen)

Behind the scenes

For the video game Legacy, a pixelated sprite was made by PixelWho.

The descriptions of these Daleks in Engines of War which highlight their egg-shape with three legs correspond to Daryl Joyce's depiction of the Spider Daleks designed for the unproduced The Time of My Life.
