Behind the scenes
- Shrek is the titular character of the movie franchise from DreamWorks Animation, based on the 1990 picture book of the same name. Actors who have voiced characters in the series include John Cleese and Jennifer Saunders.
- The "About the Authors" section of Short Trips: Christmas Around the World refers to writer William Potter as "putting words into the mouths of", among others, Shrek. This is in reference to Shrek's Quests, a fortnightly magazine published by GE Fabbri between 2008 and 2009.
- Similarly, To the Slaughter cites Stephen Cole as having written "Essential Guides" to films such as Shrek.
- Shrek was planned to be featured in LEGO Dimensions, but he and many other characters from other IPs in the planned fourth wave were cancelled.
- Shrek was among the many franchises featured in Funko Pop! Blitz, alongside Doctor Who.
- Olivia Colman voiced Mama Bear in Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.
