Elise Kaplan was a colleague of Hebe Harrison and a member of the Lame Ducks. After a couple of years without seeing her friend, she reached out to her, calling for help. Two weeks after the contact, she was worried about the changes which she had made to herself at the Mindless Foundation and talked to Betterment about it. She was a poet and worked in the English department. A month after the contact, she encountered Hebe who noticed she had changed. She thought that something was off with Betterment.
