Immortal Sins (TV story)[1] was the seventh episode of Torchwood: Miracle Day. For the most part, it consisted of a flashback which introduced the character of Angelo Colasanto. Rex Matheson and Esther Drummond were resigned to cameo roles.

Synopsis

Gwen must fight to protect her family and takes a terrifying journey with Jack, covering both miles and decades, as the long history of the Miracle is beginning to be revealed.

Plot

Gwen drives Jack across America to bring him to the people holding her family.

Flashbacks are seen to Jack's past, in 1920s New York, he is awaiting his visa at Ellis Island, when Angelo Colasanto steals Jack's visa. Jack confronts him, retrieving his visa, and then visits Angelo in his cell. They talk, and Jack uses technology to create a visa for Angelo.

Angelo is then freed, and he and Jack quickly enter a relationship. At one point, they are retrieving an alien from a base, when Jack is shot dead, and Angelo captured and imprisoned. Jack returns to America after Angelo is released, although Angelo, believing Jack to be dead, is terrified by Jack's immortality.

Angelo takes Jack to meet some of his friends, who sadistically continually attack him with knives, trying to kill him. Three men visit Jack at this point, appearing to have some knowledge of his immortality. Angelo eventually lets Jack go.

As Gwen and Jack arrive, Rex and Esther have contacted Andy Davidson in Wales, who has freed Gwen's family. They then train snipers on the three people who want Jack. Jack then states that he has won, but the three people state that Jack will come with them anyway, as they have the information about the miracle he wants. They then reveal that Angelo is still alive, and has something to do with the miracle.
