Rumours
- The shadows are likely to be the same/similar to the Shadow which killed Elton Pope's mum in DW: Love and Monsters.
- It is rumoured that this story will feature Cybermen (possibly Mondasian ones) However, this may be incorrect as they are known to be appearing in the Christmas special.
- Captain Jack Harkness returns. However, this may not be true because he does not appear in the trailer.
- This story Could be Similar to BFA: The Genocide Machine.
- Russel T. Davies has said that the monsters in this story are even more frightening than Moffet's last monsters the Weeping Angels.
- Likely to be set on the Lost Moon of Poosh
- It is rumoured (but through an unreliable source) that this story sets the tone for the finale by Donna finding and reading her history in a book in the library. It tells her that she 'died' at the hands of the Empress of the Racnoss in the 2006 Christmas special...
- If the above rumour is true and Donna's death is prophecised it may be similar to The Satan Pit when the Beast prophecised Rose's death.
