The driver of Charles Dickens' private carriage was an English man. He drove Dickens to his reading in Cardiff and back after fleeing the Gelth. The Ninth Doctor accompanied Dickens and ordered the driver to track the cart of Gabriel Sneed and Gwyneth, who had kidnapped Rose Tyler. The driver was hesitant to follow his orders, but Dickens confirmed the order and the chase began. The driver stopped the carriage at Sneed and Company's mortuary and the Doctor and Dickens went in.
