An Android is a humanoid robot. Examples include Kamelion (in his natural form) (DW: The King's Demons) and the K1 robot (DW: Robot). By the 51st century androids indistinguishable from humans were common, and River Song claimed to have dated several. (DW: Silence in the Library)

There has also existed gynoids, which at their most simple definition are robots that are like women. (NA: Christmas on a Rational Planet)
