The Third Series of The Sarah Jane Adventures is currently being broadcast by both CBBC and BBC One, having debuted on 15th October 2009. The season consists of six stories of two episodes each.

In a change of broadcast format, two episodes will air each week, on Thursday and Friday.[1]

Among notable appearances this season, K-9 Mark IV will appear in six of the twelve episodes and David Tennant appeared as the Tenth Doctor in the two-part story The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith which aired in late October.
