On the Inferno Earth, Ben Knight rose to the rank of lieutenant, and served under Major James Lethbridge-Stewart. He went on to be a member of the Republican Security Forces. He was loyal to the Director of External Affairs and came into conflict with both Major Lethbridge-Stewart and Captain Marianne Kyle in 1959, the latter of whom shot him.
