Ben Knight (Inferno Earth)

On the Inferno Earth, Ben Knight rose to the rank of lieutenant, and served under Major James Lethbridge-Stewart. He went on to be a member of the Republican Security Forces. He was loyal to the Director of External Affairs and came into conflict with both Major Lethbridge-Stewart and Captain Marianne Kyle in 1959, the latter of whom shot him. While generally loyal to the government; he enjoyed jazz music, which was officially frowned upon, and was sceptical of the Party's policy of "Female Emancipation". (PROSE: I, Alastair)

He appeared to have survived, however, since by 1968 he worked alongside Column Leader Alastair Lethbridge-Stewart in the RSF. It is implied that he may well be a clone, as his memory has gaps in it, and he even begins to question his own existence after meeting clones of himself. (PROSE: I, Alastair)
