Frank Windsor (12 July 1928-30 September 2020[1]) appeared in two Doctor Who television stories: as Ranulf Fitzwilliam in The King's Demons and Inspector Mackenzie in Ghost Light. He was earlier considered for the role of Rorvik in Warriors' Gate. (TCH 33)
He is best known for playing Det. Chief Supt./Det. Chief Insp/Det. Sgt. John Watt in police dramas Softly, Softly, Softly, Softly: Taskforce, Z-Cars, Jack the Ripper and Second Verdict.
