- 9-10 January - The Big Finish audio story Protect and Survive was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 12-13 January - The Big Finish audio story Black and White was recorded at the Moat Studios.

- 12 March - Roath Lock was officially opened by Welsh First Minister Carwyn Jones.

- 11 May - Doctor Who had its last day filming at Upper Boat Studios. They subsequently moved to Roath Lock.

- 22 July - The stageplay Robots of Death began its three-day run at Portland Street for the Greater Manchester Fringe Festival.
