Birmingham

Birmingham was a city in the Midlands of England. North of Birmingham was Manchester (TV: The Lie of the Land) and to the north-east was Nottingham. (TV: Army of Ghosts)

The Eleventh Doctor and Amy Pond visited the location of Birmingham during the Ice Age where they rescued a Neanderthal from a sabre-toothed tiger. (COMIC: Snow Globe)

Harwood's Haulage, Rhys Williams' employer, (TV: Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang) operated out of Birmingham, Sheffield, Ipswich, Carlisle and Cardiff — according to signage on their lorries and their website. (TV: Meat)

Several Doctor Who cast and crew members were born in Birmingham. These have included Annette Badland, Dave Martin, Samuel Anderson and Daniel Anthony.

Cast members Mary Tamm and Peter Miles have previously worked with the Birmingham Repertory Theatre.

The studio filming for A Girl's Best Friend was unusually outside of London, at Birmingham's Pebble Mill Studios.
