One K9 model accompanied the Seventh Doctor and Ace on their travels.
After dealing with the Rani in Walford, Ace and K9 were transported to another planet, where they witnessed Kali being returned to life by her followers. After returning to Earth, K9 helped the Doctor prevent Kali from winning the battle with her enemy. Afterwards, they prepared themselves for the quiz show they were invited to take part in.
