The A-Team is an American action-adventure multimedia franchise created by Frank Lupo and Stephen J. Cannel. It centres around a fictional United States Army Special Forces unit.

The titular "A-Team" primarily consists of John "Hannibal" Smith, Arthur Templeton "Faceman" Peck, H.M. "Howling Mad" Murdock, and Bosco Albert "B.A." Baracus, although other members also exist.

The franchise began as a television series in the 1980s, but was adapted into a film in 2010. In addition to these, it has spawned several other pieces of media, including comics and video games.

Crossovers

The A-Team was one of the multiple franchises to be represented alongside the Doctor Who universe in the mass-crossover toys-to-life video game, LEGO Dimensions. The A-Team content was added to the game via its second wave of figurines and adventure packs on 27 September 2016, joining Doctor Who and the other existing franchise elements that were built into the game upon its original release.

This inclusion allowed players to control the franchise's four playable characters - B.A. Baracus, John "Hannibal" Smith, Templeton "Faceman" Peck, and H.M. "Howling Mad" Murdock - and have them play through the A Dalektable Adventure and Dalek Extermination of Earth levels, and explore the Who-themed adventure world, as well as operate K9 and interact with the Doctor's TARDIS.

In turn, this allowed the player to explore the Mission: Impossible adventure world as the Doctor or the Cyberman, and battle in the high Security Stockade battle arena, as well as using the related vehicle - B.A.'s van - in any world.

B.A. Baracus himself has a unique voice clip that plays when he is paired with the Doctor in gameplay: "You're a doctor, huh? That's good 'cos any fools that run into me today are gonna need one!”.

In promotional material related to the game, the two franchises appeared together in the trailer New Adventures Await!. B.A. Baracus appears in the section set in the Land of Ooo, driving through Ooo in his van. Here, he watches the Twelfth Doctor fly into the sky and comments on it ("Game over, fool"), before driving ahead into a puddle splashing the Wicked Witch of the West and Gizmo. Baracus later runs into battle in Ooo along with the Twelfth Doctor, among others, and winds up in a mosh pit with the rest of the battle's participants.
