Agents In Action was a 21 short story printed in TV Century 21 that contained elements from the Doctor Who universe.
Summary
Agent Jeremy Palmer of the Universal Secret Service writes in to USS HQ from Norfolk. Palmer attaches a photograph of himself in a Dalek Suit and demonstrates the usefulness of such a disguise to the Service. His ingenuity inspires Headquarters on Kahra to investigate the possibilities of using similar camouflage in the event agents are ever sent to Skaro on spy-missions as a result of the looming threat of war.
Characters
Worldbuilding
- The Dalek Suit was constructed by Jeremy Palmer's father.
- The Suit has a wooden frame and runs on casters. The dome is constructed from half a school globe suitably painted. The lower half is a black plastic covering, painted to resemble metalert casing.
Story notes
- Following on from Have Daleks Invaded Scotland? in the previous issue, this continues to foreshadow the war tensions with the Daleks despite them not discovering the location of Earth until The Road to Conflict, the final instalment of The Daleks.
Continuity
- Agent 0031 was previously sent to Skaro to deliver an Identicode to the Dalek Emperor. (PROSE: From Special Agent Peter Ayliffe)
- Another Dalek Suit was in the possession of J. Webster although that one seemed to imbue Webster with Dalek traits rather than simply acting as a disguise. (PROSE: From J. Webster)
