Maurice Le Bon was the concierge of the Hôtel Le Prestige in 1946 Paris. He was the boss and friend of Artie Berger, who was given a luxurious room to stay in.

Maurice once fell in love with a man called Manu who fought in World War II. After he died, Maurice insisted on paying the rent of Manu's flat so he could return to it at any time.

After Artie one day told Maurice that he was suddenly unable to play the piano, Maurice met the Ninth Doctor who was searching for a sound creature. With the Doctor passing himself off as a hotel inspector, Maurice explained the recent strange goings-on in the hotel and worked with the Doctor, Artie, and Zazie Vincent to capture the creature. Eventually, Maurice drove the group to Manu's flat as a place of sanctuary and gave up his life to hold back the creature from Artie. (AUDIO: Fright Motif)
