Neon Reign was the third story in the audio anthology Jenny: The Doctor's Daughter, produced by Big Finish Productions. It was written by Christian Brassington and featured Georgia Tennant as Jenny and Sean Biggerstaff as Noah.

Publisher's summary[[edit] | [edit source]]

The Dragon Lord rules Kamshassa with fear. Half the oppressed population live in an addicted stupor, while the other half are forced into service. Factories belch poisonous smoke, and Dragon Guards patrol the streets, condemning dissenters to the Eternal Fire.

When Jenny and Noah arrive, it's only a matter of time before they start a revolution.

Worldbuilding[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • Despite Noah recognising and signing the oriental song being sung by a lady, neither he nor Jenny recognise the Asian alphabet. They state it resembles little drawings.
  • The people of Kamshassa require identification badges to live there. Shoon-Wei takes Jenny and Noah in upon noticing them without badges.
  • The men of the Kamshassa are all addicted to Chupp but cannot quit due to the factories constantly churning out addictive smoke containing Chupp.
  • Shoon-Wei tells Jenny how the women cannot disobey their husbands due to the archaic, patriarchal system in place.
