  • Target Books republishes DWN: Doctor Who and the Talons of Weng-Chiang with new cover art and a slightly revised title (now Doctor Who - The Talons of Weng-Chiang). This was the last reissue of this nature by Target, ending a program it began in 1990.
  • 17 - NA: Tragedy Day is first published.
    • VD: Decalog is first published by Virgin Publishing. Discounting the Annuals, this is the first professionally published and licenced Doctor Who short story collection. It will be followed by four more volumes (of decreasing relevance to Doctor Who) over the next three years and later be succeeded by the ST: Short Trips series of books.
