A Crack in Time was the first short story and fourth release exclusively published in Doctor Who The Official Annual 2011 on 5 August 2010[1] by Penguin Group under the BBC Children's Books. The story was a recap of parts of Doctor Who Series 5, with the second half of the story arc being covered by Legend of the Pandorica.

It is unclear who wrote this story. Trevor Baxendale, Justin Richards and Oli Smith are credited for many of the works in the annual on the copyright page, but no credit is given for the writer of this story.
