Biography
Jane married Henry VIII in 1536, their engagement having been announced the day after the execution of Henry's previous wife, Anne Boleyn. Legacy
Jane Seymour remained the only wife of Henry VIII to give birth to a son. When Thomas Cromwell attempted to advise Henry against marrying Nyssa instead of Anne of Cleves, Henry remarked that Cromwell had dismissed Queen Jane "as a nobody" too.
