Tamsin Drew was a companion of the Doctor.

Biography

Meeting the Doctor

Tamsin came from Dulwich and was an actress. Before she met the Doctor, her career was going somewhat badly due to her age. She chose to answer an advertisement which read:

Traveller in Time and Space seeks male or female companion with good sense of humour for adventures in the Fourth and Fifth Dimensions
No Experience Necessary.
No time waster, no space wasters, please.

She answered under the alias of Juliet Walsh, a strong, career-driven woman, and found herself auditioning, along with Theo Lawson, Asha Qureshi, and Hugh Bainbridge for the role of the Doctor's new companion. However, 'Juliet' was the first of the possible companions to be eliminated, and Tamsin, upset, went back home.

However due to the fact that she had taken the jacket of a scientist who controlled a large number of robots, she found herself being attacked by one of these robots. The Doctor stepped in at the last moment and saved her.

Asha, Theo and Hugh were all found to have malicious reasons for wanting to join the Doctor, so after they had all been sorted out, 'Juliet' revealed herself to the Doctor as Tamsin Drew and he decided to take her with him. (BFA: Situation Vacant)

Adventures and the Meddling Monk

The Doctor and Tamsin's adventures first took them to the devestated world of Corinth Minor, where they met war criminal Morella Wendigo. (BFA: Nevermore) After solving the situation there, they arrived at Kells Abbey in 1006. Here, the Doctor was surprised to meet an old foe; the Meddling Monk. The Monk was attempting to steal the Book of Kells. (BFA: The Book of Kells)

Leaving the Doctor

The Doctor and Tamsin then landed on Deimos, a moon of Mars, where they became caught up in an Ice Warrior invasion. Tamsin was unhappy with the Doctor's treatment of a man called Grenville, who he allowed to die. Things were further complicated when the Doctor discovered that his former companion Lucie Miller was now somehow trapped on Deimos' moonbase, a place he was about to destroy. (BFA: Deimos) Tamsin was angered by the Doctor's refusal to sacrifice Lucie's life to save the thousands of humans on Mars. Tamsin left the Doctor's company and went to travel with the Monk, who had convinced Tamsin that the Doctor was evil. (BFA: The Resurrection of Mars)
