Guy (The Mummy Speaks!)

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Guy was a gorilla who travelled with the Eighth Doctor during his time with Charley Pollard. He wore a cravat and a waistcoat, by personal choice. Guy was taught to pilot the Doctor's TARDIS during the course of their travels, as they tried to return him to the Congo.

History[[edit] | edit source]

The Eighth Doctor rescued Guy from the Carnaval de Paris in 1841, where he was known as "the Great Gorilla", during an adventure with Charley Pollard. As he spoke gorilla, the Doctor promised he would take Guy home to the Congo. Technically, Guy also rescued the Doctor, sniffing him out in a morgue after he placed himself in suspended animation.

Taking him in the TARDIS to fulfil his promise, the pair had numerous adventures together, since the Doctor was having trouble navigating his TARDIS where he wanted. Along the way to coming back around to rescue Charley, they met Edgar Allan Poe, Charlemagne and the Boston Strangler, and encountered the Quarks, all of whom found they made a strange pair.

Taking Charley with him to investigate the carnival again, the Doctor left Guy behind in the TARDIS for a while, and instructed him to read a book. Later, when he sent Charley back to the TARDIS to grab rope, Guy was the one who fetched it for the Doctor. He gave him a banana in thanks. He later rang the bells of Notre Dame. In the end, the Doctor returned Guy to the Congo, both deciding it was time for their travels to end. (AUDIO: The Mummy Speaks!)
