A dimension bridge avatar, also known as a mental avatar, flesh avatar or, at least in the case of humans, human avatar, was the physical form that an individual took when their consciousness was transmitted into a parallel universe or alternate timeline via the use of dimension bridge technology. They were exploited by the Cybermen of the Cyber-Mainframe as part of the process of forging dimension bridges into alternate realities to commence dimension seeding and continue their mission to upgrade the multiverse.

Physics

Once an individual used a piece of dimension bridge technology that had been translocated into their universe, their consciousness would manifest as a dimension bridge avatar at a location conquered by the Cybermen within a parallel universe or alternate timeline that the Cybermen had already commenced dimension seeding in. Any Cyber-units present at this location would be indirectly controlled by the Machine and used to pursue and upgrade the individual's dimension bridge avatar, in order to integrate it into a signal to establish a dimension bridge to the individual's universe.

However, while manifested as a dimension bridge avatar, an individual could exploit a significant side effect of dimension bridge technology to evade any attacking Cyber-units; the individual could perform any action that they could imagine, regardless of whether or not said action was impossible when the individual was not using dimension bridge technology, although they would only be able to do so if they focused exclusively on whatever action they were performing. For example, an individual could run at extreme speeds regardless of their physical health if they focused on doing so. (AUDIO: Telepresence)
