Dimension bridge technology
Dimension bridge technology was Cyber-Technology developed by the Cybermen of the Cyber-Mainframe that allowed them to form bridgeheads into alternate universes to commence dimension seeding in.
Functions[[edit] | [edit source]]
Resembling highly advanced virtual reality headsets, (AUDIO: Game Theory) dimension bridge technology was designed by the Cybermen of the Cyber-Mainframe as a means of forming connections to alternate universes, thereby allowing the Cybermen to travel from one universe to another and commence dimension seeding in the newly-connected universe; the Cybermen were unable to translocate themselves across universes without first translocating dimension bridge technology and using it to establish a signal between dimensions.
Direct connection[[edit] | [edit source]]
Once dimension bridge technology had been translocated into another universe, it would remain on standby until an organic lifeform in the same universe wore the headset. (AUDIO: Code Silver) The dimension bridge technology would then translocate part of the user's consciousness into a parallel universe, causing the user to materialise in said universe as a mental avatar; as the user's brain was totally immersed when using the headset, the user would be able to interact with the parallel universe as if they were actually there, despite their physical body remaining in whatever universe they had found the headset in. A consequence of the user's brain being completely immersed in the dimension bridge technology was that the user was capable of doing anything that they believed themselves capable of doing; for example, the Vikram Shindi of one universe was capable of killing a partially cyber-converted mutated dog with his bare hands simply by believing himself to be capable of such an act.
The user of dimension bridge technology would specifically materialise onto a planet conquered by the Cybermen of the Cyber-Mainframe in a parallel universe. From here, they would be attacked by the Machine, an artificial entity designed to monitor the worlds conquered by the Cyber-Mainframe and to perform virtual conversion on the headset user's mental avatar, as by doing so, the Machine could successfully form a dimension bridge connecting to the universe that the mental avatar's physical form was located in. The Machine would use cyber-converted lifeforms to convert a mental avatar, such as Mechanising Worms, but would not use Cybermen, as doing so would potentially alert the headset's user as to the purpose of the dimension bridge technology, and therefore jeopardise the Machine's attempt at connecting to the user's universe. Once a mental avatar had been successfully converted, the avatar's physical form in their universe would also be partially-converted, with metal implants and wires materialising on to the mental avatar's body. The fragment of the headset user's translocated consciousness would return to their body as their conversion completed, and a dimension bridge would form between the universe of the headset user and the Machine, (AUDIO: Telepresence) allowing a small force of Cybermen, led by a Cyber-Controller and a Cyber-Commander, to cross into the headset user's universe.
