The Machine (Telepresence)

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

The Machine - also known as the voice of the Machine, or the voice of the Hive - was a security system created by the Cybermen of the Cyber-Mainframe to monitor a parallel Earth that they converted during their campaign to upgrade the entire multiverse, and to commence the early stages of dimension seeding upon detecting mental avatars from other universes using dimension bridge technology.

History[[edit] | [edit source]]

Following their conquest of a parallel Earth, the Cybermen of the Cyber-Mainframe installed the Machine into the planet to maintain its security while they continued to conquer this Earth's universe, as well as to detect if any mental avatars materialised on the Earth from other universes upon using dimension bridge technology.

When the Petronella Osgood, Vikram Shindi and Josh Carter of N-Space used dimension bridge technology to travel to this parallel Earth, the Machine attempted to convert the trio so as to form a dimension bridge to N-Space. After failing to convert the group with a huge Mechanising Worm, a cyber-converted mutated dog, and a flock of cyber-converted pigeons, the Machine lured Osgood, Shindi and Josh into the Hive underneath Piccadilly Circus, where it used a swarm of Mechanising Worms to convert the trio and form a dimension bridge to the Fortress Island of N-Space. The Machine then activated Hive Section 49, who travelled across the dimension bridge (AUDIO: Telepresence) and attempted an invasion of the Earth of N-Space, although this was ultimately thwarted by UNIT and the War Master, and the dimension bridge was shut down.
