Although the Doctor has yet to appear on Torchwood, several substantive references to him have been made, not including throwaway references.

• During Series 1, The Doctor's hand appears in numerous episodes.
• Gwen Cooper discusses the Doctor in Children of Earth: Day Five. Although she could be seen to be referring to the Doctor in general, as she actually interacted with the Tenth Doctor in DW: Journey's End, presumably this is the version she had in mind.

• Attack of the Graske: An interactive mini-episode/game made available on the BBC's Red Button service and online, the canonicity of which is a matter of debate.
• 2009 BBC Christmas idents: a series of short skits featuring the Tenth Doctor that were produced for broadcast during the 2009 holiday season; likely non-canonical.
