• 18 - Peter Jeffrey, who played the pilot in "The Macra Terror" and Count Grendel in "The Androids of Tara," is born in Bristol.

• David Kelly, who played Jacob Kewper in "The Smugglers," is born in Dublin, Ireland.

• 20 - Colin Jeavons, who played Damon in "The Underwater Menace" and George Tracey in "A Girl's Best Friend," is born in Newport, Monmouthshire.

• 9 - Eric Thompson, who played Viscount Gaston de Leran in "The Massacre of St Bartholomew's Eve," is born in Sleaford, England.
