- The Verticulus inhabitants that knock on the TARDIS door dress up as a Dalek and a Cyberman for Halloween, Amy dresses as a witch, and the Doctor wears his normal outfit and claims he's dressed as "the scariest being in the entire solar system."
- After the Doctor sees that the TARDIS has been vandalised by the children, he breaks the Fourth wall and states "This is why I stick to Christmas Specials."
