Monan was the home planet of the Monan Host. (PROSE: Parallel Lives) During the Etra Prime Incident, Monan suffered a brief but devastating invasion by the Daleks in their attack on the Temporal Powers' homeworlds, decimating their population. Lady President Romana II of Gallifrey promised to provide aid in the rebuilding of the fellow Powers. (AUDIO: The Apocalypse Element) In the past of the planet there was a temporal accident which split the planet 10-fold through the history of the planet. The most evolved of the Monan Host stabilised the planet and invaded their ancestors. Narvin and Flinkstab thought this accident was the power source of the Monan Host's time machines. (AUDIO: Square One) It's annexation by the Daleks in the early days of the Last Great Time War triggered the advancement of Gallifrey's war operation. (AUDIO: Celestial Intervention)
