BBC Sounds is a streaming service offered by the BBC, which publishes episodes from BBC Radio, as well as music and podcasts. This was a new development in 2018. Previously, some BBC Radio 4 productions were available on BBC iPlayer.
In 2022, BBC Sounds released a new Doctor Who audio series, Redacted. This was an ongoing work of fiction written by Juno Dawson, which partly takes the form of an in-universe podcast which investigates the Doctor, called The Blue Box Files.
Various Big Finish Doctor Who audio stories are regularly made available on BBC Sounds for a period of time, often after a BBC Radio 4 Extra broadcast.
