Overview[[edit] | [edit source]]
2002 saw the second batch of Eighth Doctor audios be released. Seasons of Fear saw the return of the Nimon, 22 years after their first appearance in The Horns of Nimon. The Time of the Daleks was the Eighth Doctor's first full adventure with the Daleks in audio form, as well as being the 4th part of the "Dalek Empire" story arc. Neverland concludes the story arc set up in Invaders from Mars concerning the paradox of Charlie's survival, as well as pairing up the Eighth Doctor with Romana II.
In this year, Spare Parts was also released, pitting the Fifth Doctor against the Mondasian Cybermen, telling the tale of their origins. Anneke Wills, best known for playing the classic companion Polly Wright guest stars in The Sandman. This year saw the release of another pure historical with The Church and the Crown featuring the Fifth Doctor, Peri and Erimem.
Both The Chimes of Midnight and Spare Parts were later re-released on vinyl in the years 2016 and 2017 respectively.
