1 April was celebrated on Earth as April Fools' Day.
On 1 April 1963, Ian Chesterton sent one of his Coal Hill School students, Little Titch Critchley, to the supplies cupboard for "a left-handed blackboard rubber". Later that morning, Ian started a snowball fight with Mr Okehurst, shouting, "April fool!" That afternoon, when John Brent tried to tell his father about the snowmen which had been animated by the Cold, Captain Brent thought his son was playing an April Fools' joke. - 2009 - Part one of Big Finish podcast Last of the Titans was first released.
- 2010 - The Doctor Who Adventures magazine underwent a relaunch to introduce the new Eleventh Doctor-era branding and new editorial features.
- 2010 - Guinness World Records recognised Doctor Who Magazine, which had celebrated its thirtieth anniversary in 2009, as the Longest Running Magazine Based on a Television Series.[2]
- 2010 - The Masque of Mandragora was released on Region 4 DVD.
- 2013 - Destiny of the Doctor audio story Babblesphere was first released for download by Big Finish Productions.
