Heather McCrimmon was a companion of the the Doctor. She was a history student at Edinburgh University in her native time. (DWAM: The Chromosome Connection)

It is suggested she is a descendant of Jamie McCrimmon.

Heather was later joined in her adventures with the Doctor by Wolfgang "Wolfie" RyterWolfgang Ryter
