Jungle

A jungle was a very dense forest, usually located in hot climates. The Doctor encountered jungles on many planets in his travels, including an artificial jungle on the Ark. (TV: The Ark) He also had a jungle in his TARDIS. (PROSE: Sky Pirates!) Planets that were dominated by their jungles were referred to as jungle planets.

Jungles on Earth

The Amazon was a jungle in South America. (TV: The Green Death et al.)

Another South American jungle was home to a mushroom known as the Great Power. (PROSE: Doctor Who and the Daleks)
