Turquoise was a light shade of blue and green named after a gemstone.

The Sixth Doctor's first cravat was turquoise with cream polkadots. (TV: The Twin Dilemma, Attack of the Cybermen, Vengeance on Varos, The Mark of the Rani, The Two Doctors)
