Why is everything in the wrong place?
Everything currently in the continuity section is formatted as, or outright should be in the notes section, but my attempts to move it to the correct section were quickly reversed. None of this is right. WaltK ☎ 21:12, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
- Actually it is correct. As per @Scrooge MacDuck's ruling on Forum:Non-valid Continuity sections, categories, and prefixes, an out of universe perspective should be used in continuity sections.
"Going forward, an out-of-universe perspective should be favoured in all continuity sections if possible."
- Continuity is firmly an out of universe concept so it makes no sense to write about it from an in-universe perspective. 23:10, 17 November 2023 (UTC)

- That is not how T:BOUND works. A user not being up-to-date on what changes have been made is not proof that a change was bad. In any case OOU style for continuity sections has always been within policy, it's just that it existed in tandem with in-universe citations, while it's now the preferred form.

- As the closing post explains, one of the main reasons for this change, and I think it's a very hard one to argue against, is that it is insane and confusing that the old style asked us to say things like "The Eleventh Doctor fights the Great Intelligence again and tells it about the London Underground. (TV: The Web of Fear)". Anywhere else on the Wiki, this would imply that "the Eleventh Doctor fights the Intelligence" was being cited to the source The Web of Fear [+]Loading...["The Web of Fear (TV story)"], which would be ludicrous. It's much clearer and less ambiguous to say "The Eleventh Doctor fights the Great Intelligence and tells it about the London Underground, which is a reference to this story's status as a prequel to TV: The Web of Fear".
